The additional training you can get according to ATS are fleet tire service for osha compliance, Section 609 technician training and certification, bendix brake training, hendrickson brake certification, truck-lite training, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) engine certification, detroit diesel engine, cummins diesel engine, volvo diesel engine, and paccar diesel engine training. All of these training and/or certifications are not required to become a certified diesel technician, but you will stand out to your higher ups, or when you try getting a job as a diesel technician you will have a higher likelihood of being chosen for the job position.
