After unlocking the door, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, except that there was something in the air. It was a weird smell, similar to the local slaughterhouse, but it was not nauseating. Dick called out for Georgia, but there was no response, it was just the smell, when he opened his mouth, he could almost taste it. He got around to the stairwell, and saw one, bloody handprint on the wall. As Dick ascended the stairs, the smell was becoming more and more noticeable, and there was more and more handprints along the wall. As Dick was walking down the hallway following the long line of handprints, he could smell the air become stronger and stronger with every step he took. When he finally reached the end of the bloody handprints, he was at his daughter's room, the smell was the worst it has ever been. He slowly opened the door, creaking in the dead air, and was pushed back by the overwhelming smell that he experienced. When he was finally able to enter the room, pushing though the initial wave of smell that nearly made him vomit, he was washed over with emotions, because “WE WILL BE TOGETHER FOREVER,” “YOU CAN’T ESCAPE ME,” and “WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS,” was written on the walls of the room. This made Dick whimper, not by the sight of the writings, but by that the words were written in, his daughter's blood. The blood was still fresh from the kill, with solid chunks of flesh still on wall, the droplets of blood, inching their way down the wall, as they slowly solidify, into rusty crust. But what made him scream was the sight on the floor, next to Nell’s bed. Her body was ripped to shreds, almost unrecognizable, with her vital organs forming a heart-like shape. What made it even worse, were the moist organs still moving, the actual heart, was still beating in rhythm, and the stomach was punctured open, with the recent food consumed by Nell, covering the blood-soaked carpet.
