Diary Writing Process Essay

I use two genres of text for my RIP project, which is plot related. It seems that my diary doesn’t have the audience, but my letter does have, but rhetor of both of the genres is the detective. One new concept to noir is that in the diary the detective doesn’t worry about other people would see his diary so that he could write anything in it, even talks bad about his client, Mrs. Chanler. However, in the letter, he uses polite, formal and official tone to tell his client what he was explored, even he conceals some truths. The model text of my letter is from “The Writer’s Handbook Business Letter”. I’ve learned that a formal letter should be concise and relevant. Most diaries I found on line is for children. However, the genre of diary I use here is a little bit different, which is for helping a detective to record details and analyze his case. The features for diaries usually include time, date, and sometimes people like to write down location and weather. According to TargetStudy, “diary writing is considered to be a very personal form of writing. Though, the people all over the world prefers house Blogs and other Digital formats to write Diary, however, the conventional style of writing in a Paper Diary is till a popular form of expression of one’s thoughts and feelings.” My rhetor even adds pictures in his diary. In conclusion, my creative text was written in the form of diaries and letters. The style and tone if full of darkness and crime.
