The problem of stereotypical race in Diablo III is very prevalent and marginalized between the classes. When I first started playing the game and looked at the different classes to choose from I noticed there was a somewhat of a racial difference between the races. The first and most obvious thing that stood out to me was that you couldn’t choose what race you wanted to be, it was already picked for you according to what class you chose. For example, the witch doctor was black, the monk and the wizard were Asian, and the rest were white. I thought it was kind of stereotypical on the games part that the witch doctor was black, and from common knowledge, I know that mostly witch or voodoo doctors in the United States are black. Why can’t there be white or Asian witch doctors in the game? Same goes for the monk and the wizard, the game developers purposely put the monk class as a stereotypical Asian guy or girl because monks are very prevalent in Asia. What if the player wanted to be a white monk or wizard? I know the game developers are trying to get the characters historically accurate but come on they had to notice a little bit of stereotypical satire when creating the characters. Another thing I noticed is that the other classes in the game that were white were stronger and somewhat better than the Asian monk and black witch doctor. This affects the overall structure
