We walked in and luckily the other person was also heading to the first floor. I listened to the sound of the cliche elevator music that they never seemed to change. The elevator dinged and I walked out. I walked past the doorman who didn't even lift his head. Then, I began the short walk to the church. It hadn't started yet and many people were just lingering around. A kid near the doors was playing with his small toys trucks. He crushed them against each other and I gave him a small sad smile. He still had all his innocence and I would do anything to get mine back. I'd did a quick sweep of everyone and no one was approaching me or even noticed me. I dropped my gaze and watched the breeze blow through the trees. Finally, after about half an hour the doors opened and we were allowed inside.
