The number of older people are increasing throughout the world. As they grow older, we are faced with countless physical, psychological and social changes. Also, they may have more than one chronic disease. There are many ways to mitigate the impact of ageing on the physical, mental and social well-being of the older adults.
Firstly, physical well-being include lifestyle behaviour choice to ensure health, avoid preventable diseases and to live in a balanced state of body, mind and spirit. The impact of ageing on the physical well-being of the older adults is the changes in their bones and muscles. As they are getting older, they are vulnerable to broken bones. In addition, joint stiffen and connecting ligaments between bones lose their elasticity. Due to the changes in

The impact of ageing on the mental well-being of the older adults is that many of them are suffering from dementia. They shows deterioration in cognitive function such as the ability to process thought and information. It affects memory, thinking, learning capacity and language.
There are range of interventions that can be used to promote mental well-being of older adults. One intervention is that we can collaborate with government to come out with a programme talk and train all health providers in working with the mental issues related to ageing and provide resources for them to develop good general health care in the community. Thus, this will help to improve the mental well-being of older adults.
Thirdly, social well-being is a sense of involvement with other people and with our communities. The impact of ageing on social well-being of the older adults is that many older adults are experiencing loneliness and depression due to living alone or the loss of family and friends and reduced mobility to participate in the community
