When I was younger, I remember the first time my mother taught me how to braid hair. I was so intrigued by braids and the way they looked that I wanted her to show me how to do it on my own. She began to show me while doing my younger sister’s hair. The way she described it while she was doing each action seemed so seamless and flowed perfectly as each 3 parts of hair intertwined and weaved in and out so graciously. As I began my hands-on approach for the first time, it seemed so natural to me and I was successful the first try.
