However, once I showed my interest in her dog she began to feel more comfortable and was more open towards me. She really hopes to become better by the end of the week, because one of her sons is nervous about starting high school and she wants to be there for him when he comes back from his first day.” Kelsey’s narrative with Ms. Foster would help her reflect on Ms. Foster’s experience of illness and help her convey to Dr. Baum how Ms. Foster would feel if she received bad news from the test results.
