Dentistry is experiencing an exponential growth in science and technology that allows for better diagnosis and treatment. The advancements in the understanding of the oral cavity from its mechanics to its microbiome underscore the importance of dentistry today. The ever-increasing wealth of information and technology involved in the art of dentistry makes it an extremely intriguing profession. Furthermore, service to others remains a dentist’s goal; an ability to create interpersonal relationships with those in need. A future in dentistry provides me a harmonious connection between science, technology and the people these are designed to help.
