A dental hygienist job is to help people lean the proper way to keep their teeth clean. This paper will explore the job description, work environment, pay, and overall job outlook for a dental hygienist. The duties and responsibilities of a Dental Hygienist is what makes the job interesting. Dental Hygienist’s have to remove tartar, stains, and plaque from the patients teeth. They also apply sealants and fluorides to help protect the teeth. Dental Hygienists basically do anything from cleaning teeth to giving x-rays or educating patients about oral hygiene techniques such as how to floss and brush properly. According to U.S department of labor some important personality traits or qualities for this job is critical thinking, compassion, detail oriented, and interpersonal skills.
