We focus on the person’s strengths and capacities, encouraging and supporting clients to continue to carry out their normal preferred activities wherever possible. Each client’s supports are individually tailored to their requirements. Activities included in a client’s support plan may include: developing and referring to a documented task description that is sequential and easy to follow; use of visual aids and prompts; repeated instruction and coaching for specific tasks; guidance, prompting and supervision of client when they undertake the task.
