“Trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it’s broken, but you can still see the cracks in the reflection”, said lady gaga. The dictionary states trust as being a reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety of a person or thing; confidence. My definition of trust is something that is meant to be broken, but something that I have to be strong enough to overcome. When trusting someone respect is a key factor that you must display, be reliable, have the ability to be honest, have loyalty, and the ability to make good decisions.

For a person to trust someone they have to know that the person displays honesty. Being honest with someone may seem hard at times especially when someone`s feelings come into play. Some people feel that they have to lie to a person just to spare the persons feelings, but in all reality being honest is the best thing to do. Lying to someone only makes things worst especially when they find out the truth. Once I decided to lie to my mom about my reason for leaving out the house without asking. At the time I thought that if I lied about why I left, and where I was going it would have made my situation a little bit better. I was truly wrong about that she didn’t believe a word that I said. She asked me to see my phone and I gave it to her thinking that she couldn’t possibly find anything, but she did. In my phone she found every answer to every question that she had just asked me. It wasn’t until that moment that I realized that I just should have told the truth. Because maybe if I would have just been honest with her she wouldn’t have took away my whole Christmas. Giving the fact that I choose not to be honest I lacked one of trust most important factors. For a very long time it was hard for my mother to believe anything I said because I had lost her trust. I never could figure out what to do to get her to trust me again, the best thing I could come up with was to always be honest with her not matter how bad the truth

Our essential question was “How is trust is created or destroyed?” I would answer it by saying that trust is created or destroyed by the presence or lack of credibility. I came to this conclusion by comparing how in Mean Girls, Julius Caesar, and in real life how trust is earned and lost. Throughout our entire podcast, we saw that a common theme with trust in all three scenarios is the strong ability to rely on the other person. For example, Janis relies on Cady to betray The Plastics, until she loses her trust when she realizes she can no longer rely on her.…

Most Americans would agree that they strive to have integrity, because if someone they do, then they will be successful. I often think, I don’t want to sound dumbfounded, is my work not as up to par as others? But I often don’t realize that the real strength of any relationship is having alternative points of views, they may see things I may have never noticed before and others may even come up with a more effective solution on a problem. The interactions with our minds and hearts with others creates trust and cooperation that can lead to better solutions than anyone could alone. Giving our trust is far harder than receiving the trust, we don’t want to have the trust to be in the hands that may abuse it. If both parties offer clear communication on what trust means to them, both parties will know their places in this relationship and they’ll learn to not abuse the others’ trust, but to keep building from the base and create a strong relationship.…

With any organization, trust is a significant trait associated with leadership. Leaders cannot excel in leadership if the people they are trying to do not trust them. They learn of the employees’ dilemmas and make an attempt to solve them; however, it is trust that influences the employees to believe that their leader has the understanding required to resolve any problems (Frazier et al., 2015). Trust is an optimistic idea that others will act in an appropriate manner. Trust is to nurture; an applicable environment is needed (Hogler et al., 2015).…

There are several different outcomes to lying, in hindsight the majority of them are dire. Whether it be the lack of trust that comes out of it, the series of bad events that come with a string of lies, or the amount of respect you have for yourself and for other people once you start living your life based on lies, nearly all outcomes of lying have rough or inadequate consequences. Telling a lie shows a large amount of distrust in a person. Trust between 2 or more people is one of the most important traits in a relationship, because knowing the person you interact with helps you to determine that persons character, which as Martin Luther King Jr. once said, is what we should all judge our peers by. When we don’t know who we can trust, we can never form a true relationship with that person.…
