The topic for this weeks discussion is to define an argument and decide if an argument is successful or unsuccessful. There are many types of arguments but in general, an argument is a debate between people with opposing opinions, facts, or statements that can be resolved with clear evidence. An argument is successful if the person making a claim offers trustworthy evidence that is true and valid about the topic that will convince the other party to accept his/her viewpoint or even take the evidence into consideration. An example of a successful argument would be, person one viewing a woman on the basketball team as good and person two claiming that the woman is not good.
