Robots are taking over our world. Technology is changing our lives. Everything is getting more computerized. “Better than Humans: Why robots will – and Must – Take our jobs” by Kevin Kelly and “Death by Robot” by Robin Marantz Henig. Both of these authors tells how technology has, is and will change our lives. Kevin Kelly’s states that technology is changing our way of living. We are becoming less responsible to finish our tasks and more reliable on machines to do it for us. Henig talks about how robots will help humans to finish tasks more quickly and neatly. He also said that we could save a lot of our valuable time and make our ecosystem more secure. Kelly’s analysis of the causes, consequences and solutions to the technology can help us …show more content…
In describing the causes, Kelly describes how technology is making things easier for us. We are inventing new robots, software and many other devices that making us lazier. For example, he states, “the more dexterous chores of cleaning in offices and schools will be taken over by late-night robots, starting with easy-to-do floors and windows and eventually getting to toilets” (300). In other words, he is saying that new technology will take over our basic chores and other jobs that human find it hard to do. This issue reinforces Kelly’s argument that upgrading of new technology is a going to change the way of our living because the technology is making our life easier, it will save us time and can do things better than …show more content…
Kelly describes how technology is getting smarter day by day. For example, he states, “Today automation has eliminated all but 1 percent of their jobs, replacing them with machines” (299). In other words, Kelly argues that technology is taking over our jobs and human will be dependent on machines in earlier centuries.
