Dealing with annoying unwanted guests trying to take over your home
I have had the rare opportunity to deal with a few guests; some were fun to have with and left when they ought to. I missed their company most times after they. I also had a share of pretty bad unwanted guest, and they are the guests I will be focusing on in this article.
I have asked time and time again, how does one deal with obnoxious guests that find themselves in our home. I just wanted a broader perspective about this issue, so I asked friends and family about this issue, this was just to give my personal experience some credibility. This activity involved a lot of observation and examination of what has gone on around me on the RCF. I watched the client and staff interactions and observed most that were professional and some that bordered on friendship type activities. I understand that it is hard to work with these individuals "home" and not get personally connected to the clients. Staff is there to watch good times as well as bad with these individuals.…

It was the week of the Michigan vs. Ohio State game and Michigan was at home, Begley and I had spent most our time in physics class talking about it and how Michigan was going to pull off a huge upset. 5 days before that unforgettable Saturday Begley told me and two of my friends he was going to buy us student section tickets and take us to the game. I immediately called bullshit and laughed, it seemed like complete blasphemy because he wanted student section tickets that would cost $125 each and another $100 each to be verified. A $900 event, no high school student can just pull this kind of money out of their ass. That is when Begley pulled off something I thought was impossible.…

Social expectations of the Antebellum period played a grand role in everyday lives of the people of the time, and especially the region. One particular book, The Laws of Etiquette, written in 1836 gives an introductory to why these “laws” are of great importance to follow as the writer remarks, “these forms may be abundantly absurd but still they must be attended to; for one half the world does and always will observe them, and the other half is at a great disadvantage if it does not .” As many of the rules and instructions of how to behave in society in the handbook seem quite frivolous or unnecessary, the authors describe it as a custom of the elite plantation culture and it is almost an honor to be able to participate in the customs. With…

In Homer’s great poem, The Odyssey, one of the central themes in the story is the idea of hospitality. Homer shows two sides to this theme, the side of the guests and how they treat their hosts, and the counter, hosts and how they treat their guests. Homer also shows various examples of these interactions, with differing ways in which the hosts and guests. Additionally, Homer shows multiple different outcomes for the hosts and/or guests. Living in the State of Poverty - SIM Participation In 1964, Martin Luther King, Jr in his Nobel Prize lecture examined the evils of the modern world. He spoke on how poverty was one of those evils. “The poor in America know that they live in the richest nation in the world, and that even though they are perishing on a lonely island of poverty they are surrounded by a vast ocean of material prosperity” (Nobel Media AB, 1964, para.22). Not much has changed since his eloquent speech. Participating in the Community Action Poverty Simulation provided insights confronting the needs of poor individuals and families.…

    1. Hospitality is a great manner that is heavily practiced in The Odyssey, by Homer. When I look at the times of ancient Greek, I notice they are quite similar to the traditions practiced in my culture today. This is quite evident in book four, when Telemachus and Nestor 's son are spotted at the castle gate by one of Menelaus ' servants. He immediately ran to the king to decide whether or not they should send them elsewhere due to preparing for a wedding.…
