Deadlift Essay

Initially, the goal was to improve the squat performance by providing more strength to all the muscles involved in this compound exercise. Furthermore, the technical goal intended to set a neutral spine position throughout the whole deadlift movement. As discussed in the first assignment, Skill Assignment, a set of exercises and stretching routine were created targeting those objectives. A set of videos were recorded to analyze any difference from the initial track of data.
The last videos from the squat and deadlift indicate a neutral spine position, stable knees, hip, and feet position during the entire movement in both exercises. Compared to the initial videos, the differences are the complete neutral spine position when deadlifting and a fixed, stable left foot position when squatting.

Some results show even better results than the 5% targeted. Based on the results collected in the beginning, and in the last day, it is possible to see a successful project, and some good collateral effects as well.
For example, the hand grip evolved along with the deadlift. Probably because the requirement for a stronger hand grip to sustain a heavier weight when performing the deadlift.
Nonetheless, the push-up, sit-up, and pull up exercises have little correlation to deadlift and squat they improved as well. Although not directly, the results can be interpreted as a result of squat’s and deadlift’s improvements, as both of them provide a high fat burning process and also enhance testosterone production – which helps strength and resistance muscle process. Which, could be the cause for the better performance when training those exercises outside the class, and consequently an improvement on the results of them.
In addition, the waist and hip ratio is probably a consequence of the entire process occurred during the last month of high muscular strengthen goal

According to a study of two male regional powerlifting champions, research showed that there were greater L4-L5 shear forces and moments in the conventional group. The research also showed that hip and knee moments were not significantly different between the two deadlift styles, showing that one isn’t necessarily better for a lifter’s body than the other. In this lift style it is important to keep a rigid, straight back to optimize performance or else spine flexion can decrease the muscle’s contribution required torque and leaves only a lifter’s ligaments holding the weight, adds to joint shear. Continuation of this can lead to an injury of the lumbar discs. Another potentially detrimental practice is hyperextending the lower back during the lift.…

Hang Clean and Press: Possibly the best shoulder exercise ever invented. The hang clean is often compared to the high pull, or upright row, and if you can flow through with the momentum, you can press much more weight than you can from a dead stop. To set up, stand with your feet just outside of shoulder width apart and put both hands on your bar at just about the same place as your feet are on the ground. While holding your back flat and your chin up, dead lift the weight into the standing position with the weight against your thighs for the starting position. From the starting position, you should lower the weight down to just above your knees, bending at both the knees and the waist.…

Successful maintenance activity remains a challenging area of research because of the multifactorial contributions of age, nutrition, hormones, medical comorbidities, and activity level to changes in muscle over time. There is a spectrum of changes in aging muscle, some of which are normal and some of which are not. Sarcopenia has been more quantitatively defined as relative muscle mass less than 2 standard deviations below a sex-matched control group aged 18 to 40 years, but the lack of a clear definition has resulted in a wide range of prevalence from 8% to 40%. The 2010 European Working Group on Sarcopenia in Older People defined 3 stages of this process: presarcopenia is simply loss of muscle mass, sarcopenia is muscle loss that occurs…
