According to the “Identifying the Victim” article it states many ways to identify the body. An anthropologist can look at how many bones, if the bones are fused and use the Kerley Method to determine the age of the victim. The Kerley Method is taking the thin part of the bone and counting the rings on the bone, much like finding a tree's age. But recently haven’t been using this method because it damages the bones. They can find the gender by looking at several different bones, the pelvis, skull and the collarbone. A male’s pelvis is much narrower and heart-shaped. While on the other hand women have a wide and shallow pelvis so it’s easier to give birth. But to do this the victim has must gone through puberty first.
