Based off of the “What Caused the Salem Witch Trial Hysteria of 1692” article, it had said that people could’ve gone delusional based off of the LSD hallucinogens in the grains, caused by the Indian raids. Also Charles Upham had this theory where kids were just acting to get the attention, in document D, which makes me believe is one of the reasons why the Salem trials had started. The last reason why I believe the witch trials commenced is because there were better soil to grow crops on one side of the town, which was the rich side, causing the poverty-stricken people to become envious towards the wealthy.
