When looking at a philosopher’s arguments for knowledge, David Hume which known as the “Great Skeptic” because of his work on empiricism. Furthermore, David Hume developed a theory of know, which discusses that we can explain and justify our knowledge through scientific proof or the two kinds of perceptions, which are impressions and ideas. Additionally, David Hume explained that impressions are described as sense experience, and ideas are mental constructs that are formed in our mind. Undoubtedly, David Hume’s knowledge theory is one the philosopher’s argument that I can agree with because I believe that knowledge can be proven logically through our sense-experience and from our two types of perceptions, ideas and impression. The particular aspects I agree with is that all matters of fact claims are bases on cause and effect and that all ideas are based on impressions. …show more content…
Each person can have different knowledge about the world based on their experiences in life. For instance, during my free time I like to play video games, so I believe that I might have more knowledge than other women who do not play video games during their free time. Additionally, for some of my classes for my criminal justice major, I am required to read scientific studies on the effects of drugs, violence, and other social factors would have on our society. For instance, I recently read an article that made the argument that certain neurotransmitters can alter chemicals in your body, which increases your chance of committing
