Damaged hair, as much as it hurts to say this, all hair eventually becomes damaged in some way. Damaged hair is a problem because as hair follicles start to dry out and split, your hair’s natural instinct is to try and take care of itself with it’s natural oils. Those natural oils are what we call: hair grease. The more damaged the hair is, the more oils come out to try and help it get back to a good shape. The problem with that is, with hair styling and extra product, those oils don’t help your hair at all. You’re left with a greasy head of hair that you can’t do anything to without damaging it even more. Garnier Fructis, Ultraswim, Head&Shoulders, Aussie, and other name brands all have hair masks that actually do work to help fix damaged hair, but the problem with these products is that they are not long term. After you apply heat the hair starts to go downhill again. (Reviewer, Walmart, March. 14, 2015) The goal is healthy hair, not masked hair. There are more than just hair masks that help damaged hair. These brands also have deep conditioners, shampoos, gels, mousses. and sprays that are dedicated to damaged hair.
There are also attempted solutions that don’t work. Most of these for sale “solutions” are store brand products. For instance Wal-Mart, Kroger, and Target all have products that have been compared to another, more reliable, name brand product. These products don’t affect the hair at all. They don’t affect hair because they’re not the same as name brand, ingredients are at lesser costs and lesser quality, you can tell by the price usually. (Reviewer, Target,
