The history of these two teams playing each other is short, as they prepare to play for the twelfth ever and the first time since 2011. The Dallas Cowboys lead the series 7-4 winning the first seven from 1971-1996 and losing the last four meetings in 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011. Despite the limited history, the Cowboys and Patriots have many player and coaching connections:
1.Drew Bledsoe- Bledsoe put his name on the map by leading the New England Patriots from 1993-2001. After a successful career with the Patriots, he was traded to the Buffalo Bills, but was release after two seasons and signed with the Dallas Cowboys and was there from 2005-2006. Since being a Dallas Cowboy, Mincey has started 59 of his 85 games with 201 tackles, 26 sacks, 11 batted passes and an interception.
4.Scott Chandler- Patriots tight end played for Dallas in ten games of the 2010 season and also spent time on the Cowboys practice squad.
5.Danny Amendola- Amendola has an unique route to the NFL as he was an undrafted Texas Tech Raider. He worked hard at the Dallas training camp and made it onto the practice squad for his rookie season. He then found himself in New England in 2013.
6.Bill Parcells- Before becoming the Dallas Cowboys coach from 2003-2006, Parcells was the head coach for the Patriots from 1993-1996 with a 32-32 record. He has also coached with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick for fifteen season over three different teams. Together they went to three Super Bowls and won two championships.
7.Mike Woicik- Is a strength and conditioning coach who originally found his way in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys in 1990. In his seven season with Dallas, the team had a 89-38 record which included 12 playoff victories and three Super Bowls. He then went on to work for the Patriots for ten years before returning to Dallas in
