Throughout the book we come to find out about the feelings the character Gatsby has for Daisy Buchanan. When you feel attached to someone, it seems as though you don’t mind going the extra mile to make them happy. ¨Gatsby bought that house so that daisy would be just across the bay¨(78). Gatsby purposely bought the mansion right across the bay from Daisy because he is in love with her and she’s the one girl he’s determined to be with. Gatsby’s love for Daisy makes him go to the extremes of living across from her just to have a view of her.
