In the myth “Daedalus and Icarus” by Geraldine McCaughrean, the moral is to always listen to your parents because if you don’t one day something really bad could happen to you like when Icarus fella and died because he didn’t listen. “His father’s words came back to him clearly now: ‘Don’t fly too close to the sun” (McCaughrean 56). If they actually used common sense, unlike Icarus did, they would know that yes, you could possibly die from being too close to the sun. they also would have listened to their parents, because most of the time they would know what's right and what's best for the
