The ________________ position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Operations (AMO). AMO’s mission is to protect the American people and critical infrastructure by using an integrated and coordinated air and marine force to identify, monitor, detect, interdict, and prevent acts of terrorism and criminal activity arising from unlawful movements of people, illegal drugs and other contraband moving toward or crossing the borders of the United States
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the second-line supervisor and Lead Business Operator (Authority). The incumbent is responsible for managing and directing the air, maritime, land and information sharing …show more content…
Incumbent identifies and modifies portfolio requirements as necessary for sensor and information sharing systems that are part of the DHS Domain Awareness Network. Incumbent designs the architecture and develops the implementation plan to increase the coverage volume, probability detection, detection range, detection in clutter environments, interoperability and integration of the components of the network. Incumbent directs air, maritime, land and information sharing portfolio of DHS Domain Awareness Networks. Oversees the coordination, integration and operational development of the portfolios within the Domain Awareness Network. Senior representative for all interagency activities related to Domaine Awareness.

Serves as the Lead Business Authority for the Domain Awareness Network portfolios. Leads the evaluation of emerging sensor technologies to meet future DHS mission requirements. Incumbent identifies and assesses the applicability of sensor technologies that identify and track suspected illicit activity and to increase the DHS’s Domain Awareness Portfolio. Recommends pertinent intelligence data, operational reporting, messages, and maritime and aircraft tracking data key that are key enablers to the DHS
