This happens when the bile that are drained out of the liver become thicker then usual and blocks the ducts that is meant to drain this bile. Over time this can cause irritation and scarring which will lead to cirrhosis. Cystic fibrosis can also make a man or women infertile. For men with cystic fibrosis, even though they still produce sperm, the tubes that the sperm needs to pass are blocked with thick mucus, which makes it hard for sperm to be delivered.
