Okay, in this paper i'm going to be talking about genetic diseases for extra credit the first genetic disease i'm going to talk about is cystic fibrosis, this disorder is genetically inherited. It affects the secretory glands which means it's in the mucus and sweat glands. It mainly affects the lungs, liver, sex organs, and sinuses. Cystic fibrosis is a mutation in the cf gene in chromosome 7, lung function goes down hill as you grow older resulting in permanent damage to the lungs which leads to breathing problems. It produces more mucus and snot that you should and its abnormally thick and sticky. Its blocks off enzymes going to your small intestine which creates an over amount of fats in the digestive system.
