Introduction In today’s technological society it is very important that organizations maintain strong security policy documentation. The most important documentation that should be maintained is the cybersecurity policy. In this paper I will discuss the cybersecurity policy of the organization I have chosen (Apple INC). This paper will supply an analysis of the strategy that they use to protected themselves against fraud, hackers and theft. I will also describe they use policy as a project within their program and what would happen if they had no cybersecurity policy in place. Finally, I will cover what their basic needs would be if they had no cybersecurity policy in place and they would need to prove some sort of base for their security needs.
An analysis of Apple INC’s strategy used for protection against fraud, hackers and theft The company I completed my analysis on for this paper is Apple INC. The reason I selected Apple is because they are committed to keeping their users trust by having strict privacy and security policies in place. They recently batted and defeated the FBI when they attempted to force Apple to unlock some iPhones that were used by criminals. There are some dire consequences that can and will most likely result from not having a policy on cybersecurity. Over 400 billion dollars is lost per year because approximately 90 percent of all companies know they have insufficient security policies and they are not prepared to defend themselves from attacks.
