Culture and diversity play a big role in the profession of nursing. However when put together, they play an even vaster one. Since the United States consists of many diverse cultures, nurses are required to distinguish and assimilate their necessities into the nursing care that must be provided. Dayer-Berenson (2014) states cultural diversity by the means of “interacting with persons from a culture different from [their] own” (p. 394).
