What an upside down world Aileana felt she’d dropped into. She had a totally amazing lover who just happened to be a Selkie prince. She’d been kidnap by a Finman who planned to do horrible things to her. Thank the powers that be, the Finman is now dead and won’t be able to hurt any other women. She was thankful Kendrick had been able to find her before it had got any worse for her. Finding out her father had been a Selkie, but no longer has any memory of being Selkie—yeah right! That sounds like your typical family’s everyday drama—yeah right! Not even in Hollyweird does that shit happen. Kendrick had cued her in on how lucky she was to make it off the mystical island of whatever. They talked about how they would make the village a …show more content…
He planned to bring them to Seanmhair’s cottage. Aileana decided to prepare food that was popular back home in Southern California. She chose to make, a Mexican meal. She had prepared to cook up a batch cheese enchiladas, beef tacos, Spanish rice and refried beans with fresh salsa. She wondered what the guys would think of the meal. Aileana hoped they would enjoy it as much as her friends back home did. She started thinking about meeting Kendrick’s brother Duncan and their friend Torin. Aileana had nothing, but gratitude for them risking their lives for her. She also wondered what they thought of Kendrick hooking up with a human. Aileana hoped the guys received news of how Rhona fared. Rhona’s treatment at the hands of the Finman had been so much worse than what she’d endured. Aileana had been his prisoner for less than twenty-four hours, but Rhona had endured enslavement by the creature for over two weeks. She couldn’t imagine what she must have endured during her time of …show more content…
He stared me in the eyes and said. “Aye, I will come to ye someday with a favor. Then ye kin repay me,” he said with a wink. Kendrick, she could swear snarled at his brother and said, “Ignore him. He’s an arse.” “Well brother, I may be an arse, but I am a fun arse,” Duncan laughed with his own wicked grin in place. “You’re quite the charmer; aren’t you?” Aileana chuckled. Torin replied, “Lass, we were glad we were able to help ye and the other Lassie.” “Speaking of Rhona, have you spoke to her since you took her to the hospital?” she said. “Aye, we paid her a visit a few days ago. She’s healing and soon to go home to her family,” said Torin. “How she’s dealing with the kidnapping?” she wanted to know. “Och! Didnae Kendrick explain that we used our Selkie magic on her, to wipe those memories away?” said Duncan. “No, I guess he left that detail out of our conversations,” she said as she turned to where Kendrick leaned against the fireplace. “It was better that way, and necessary to erase those memories. We coudnae let her tell anyone about magical creatures the humans dinnae know exist. Plus, would ye want her to remember what she endured at the hands of the Finman?” Kendrick replied. “What does she think happened to her?” Aileana

I just got done with my shift to protect Camp Half-Blood feeling very tired and stressed. With the camp’s protection being down and most of the campers going back to their families for the summer, this meant that there were very few of us to guard our safe haven. Lately, I’ve found the sound of crashing waves, wind brushing through my hair, and the slight smell of salt hitting my face very soothing ever since I had met my best friend, Percy Jackson.…

In the film “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” based on Ken Kesey’s book many characters are, or believe they are, suffering from a mental illness. From the movie, I would have trouble diagnosing the character Chief Bromden with a mental illness because he is not the focus of the movie; however, from reading the book I can easily say he suffers from schizophrenia and/or paranoid personality disorder (PPD). This is because in the book he is the narrator so the reader knows that he has real symptoms of these two disorders and meets the criteria for abnormality. To be considered “abnormal,” one must reflect at least one of the four D’s: dysfunctional, distress, dangerous, and deviant. In the book, it is obvious that the chief falls under the two…

1.There are multiple mental illnesses portrayed in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest as the setting for the story is a mental institution. The narrator is a large Native American who feigns deaf and dumbness. This character is an excellent study in the evolution of a mentally ill individual along the path of finding a semblance of normalcy, although the phenomenon is the result of interactions with a decidedly psychopathic or sociopathic man, McMurphy, played by Jack Nicholson. Nicholson connives to be placed in a mental institution to avoid jail and throughout his antics we are offered an internal view of a form of mental illness more difficult to diagnose - psycho &/or sociopathy. The terms have been used interchangeably and even experts disagree…
