Critical Element 1 Law Enforcement: Case Study

Critical Element 1 Law Enforcement
David was consonantly at the bottom end of cases assigned in the district. Sense the month of May except in two month the District Ranger had more cases assigned to him than David did and during those months David only had one more case in one month and three more in another month. The District Rangers job requires him to be out of the field at least 70% more than a field ranger. We also had a new hirer in the district that arrived on site in the middle of July she has had more cases assigned to her during that time than David has. If this trend continues of not conducting Law Enforcement and criminal interdiction, I will be forced to give a rating of Minimally successful or Unsatisfactory.

The data that was examined occurred over a 15 year period of time, enough time to provide an adequate amount of data (McElvain & Kposowa, 2008, p. 506). As the chief of police of a law enforcement organization, one of the methods that I would use in developing the demeanor of the law enforcers is through encouraging team work. According to Giles (2002), through encouraging team work, issues of racism and discrimination in performing duties will be eliminated. Also, through encouraging team work, it will be easy to deal with the issue of incompetency since, if a certain officer is not competent, a teammate will usually make the officer understand. Another method, which I would employ to develop the demeanor of the law enforcers, is continuous training. This will help in strengthening the weak areas of the law…

We will demonstrate the need for access to data by using the following situation as a guideline: You and Uncle Bob, who is from California, are on a vacation together in Miami when he gets pulled over for speeding. Uncle Bob has never been out of the state of California before this so he only has a criminal history in California. As a Chief of Police, one would have to determine what does the department they head up stand for? Who does it represent and what are the essential purposes for the agency. With that information, the values and missions adopted will guide the action of all the officers that comprise the department (Cordner, 2016). This is a tremendous responsibility put on the Chief because it’s critical the values and missions remain the main focus and not be overcome by other unofficial purposes (Cordner, 2016). I believe the most important missions include the protection of life and property, enforcing the laws, developing and maintaining a positive relationship with the local community, and to create an atmosphere of safety.…
