Simple assault, aggravated assault, simple domestic violence, simple domestic violence third, aggravated domestic violence, and aggravated domestic violence are charges that apply to a person that is guilty of assault and domestic violence. Simple assault is where a person attempts to cause or purposely, knowingly or recklessly causes bodily injury to another person. This can also been with a deadly weapon or other means likely to produce death or serious bodily harm.
