When people talk about First Nations they think they’re all similar from each other but as what some people say “We’re all different from each other”. They think they’re all similar from each other because their First Peoples. In some points they’re similar but not all the First Peoples are similar. Just like Cree and Haida they have a lot of differences especially when it comes to spiritual beliefs, transportation, and many more. Their different from each other because Cree people lives in the forests and Haida people lives near the ocean or river or lake. They put their belongings in canoes. Also because they have to walk they have to limit what they carry or what they’re going to bring with them so they could carry their belongings easily and not worrying about getting tired. However, the Haida people they use canoes. It’s very useful especially for them because they live near the Ocean. For example, the Cree people their known for beadwork, so they also put them on their clothes. They use animals’ hides to make their clothes however the Haida people they decorate their clothes with eagle and raven. Also, most of their clothes was made of red and yellow cedar bark and their clothes were soft, dense, and waterproof.
Lastly, the Cree and Haida people are very different when it comes to their shelters/home. Cree people lived in teepees, it’s like tents except it’s made up of tree branches and birch bark that’s tied up at the top. However, Haida people lived in a house that’s called “Longhouses”. Longhouses are made up of woods. Men ties long wooden poles together to make arches. There’s no windows except one hole in the roof. They use trees to make their houses because it rains a lot in their area so the trees grow very thick and tall.
The Cree and Haida are both similar when it comes to what they eat. The Cree people hunts for animals such as, caribou, deer, moose, bison and birds. Also, they include vegetables to their food just like wild mushrooms and wild turnips. Similar to the Haida people except they hunt fish, crabs, black-tailed, deer, elk, mountain, goat, and bear. They also add plants and vegetables in their meal. I say they’re similar because they eat some similar foods and they add vegetables in their
