John Taylor, a proud man living in new orleans, wakes up to what appeared a normal day. John had received a voicemail on his wide screen. Familiar with advance technology he quickly realizes it's an emergency alert sent by his uncle. The emergency alert read “ tropical Depression twelve formed a category 1 hurricane over the bahamas at 5:00 pm EDT August 23, 2005.” If John wasn’t so tired from lifting weights last night he would have prevented the worst from happening. Instead he continues with his sleep Two hours later what is now Aug 24, 2005 2:00 pm. Missing a cellular call from his wife from washington DC alerting him of the dangerous weather. Not responding her call Mrs Taylor informs their New Orleans neighbors, Mr and Mrs Frank who, …show more content…
It felt like a bulldozer was trying to bring the walls down. Along with entire buildings!. The flames were good for about another several hours. There was a vent installed scratches were heard. Even John's truck alarm had gone off again.
Terrified of the noise the clerks rushed out to check his store. He returns in despair screaming “my roof is gone! Shadows flickered around each candle.
“ Are you sure this is our best option? Shouldn't we keep running away rather than staying in the middle of it!” Mrs Frank shouts out in desperation.
“ Yes we should be okay, besides I won't let anything-,” suddenly Mr. Frank was interrupted.
An enormous shock wave tumbled the candles light out. Luckily the fire pit was able to spark up a corner letting light to be seen. Now what is known as America's Fifth greatest hurricane disaster, katrina had been flooded. 80% was covered in water an estimate of $ 108 billion of damage properties and estimate 1,245-1836 fatalities. John had not been sure if he would be going back to his house the next morning the clerks man opened the door disaster every where john truck was gone the store roof had been ripped off no one but patrick and Mr Mrs Frank were left in despair.
