EDF Deep Space Outpost 14: Near the Outer-Rim of the Milky Way

"Where the hell are they?" "I'm not sure sir, the 6th Recon Squadron should have reported in before now" The commander leaned back in his chair, a look of worry on his face, "Keep trying to raise them Jennings." Jennings nodded, and put his headset back on. After trying to raise the command ship of the squadron several more times, Jennings looked back at the commander and shook his head. The commander leaned forward and said "Ok, launch 6 des-" Suddenly he was cut off by the radar officer, "Two ships have just warped in sir! They're ours, a cruiser and a destroyer." The ships settled down and immediately upon landing, started rushing their wounded crew to the waiting medical staff. The captain of the Pearl practically sprinted down the ramp and started running to the command room. He was buzzed into the command room and the commander stood up from his chair. "Captain Wú! What happened? Where's the rest of the recon squadron?" Captain Wú, in-between breaths said "I need... to contact EDF Headquarters..." The commander looked at Jennings "Put him through, send it as an emergency signal." Jennings pressed a few buttons and a female officer appeared on the screen. "Outpost 14 what's your emergency?" Captain Wú, appearing to have caught his breath, stepped forward "At 12:40 Earth time the 6th Recon Squadron was attacked by alien vessels. We were outnumbered and outgunned only two ships were able to escape, mine included." A look of fear crossed the female officer's face and the crew in the command room gave each other nervous glances. "Do you know what aliens attacked you?" the female officer asked. Captain Wú nodded "We managed to grab a picture of what appeared to be the command ship of the enemy
