Psychology To begin the journal, from the American Psychological Association, Nancy Dess informs psychologists and educators about evolution, intelligent design, and scientifical education because of the evident gap in how evolution or creationism should be taught in schools. The journal firmly states creationism is false and life just evolved, through Modern Synthesis with Darwin’s ideas on natural selection. (The journal states that) “The contemporary evolutionary theory provides a comprehensive account of the origins and diversity of life on Earth that has been rigorously tested and well supported over the last hundred years or so.” Providing the statement that the origin of life has been tested over hundreds of years. But what if there was a different source of life and teachers are filling students with false origins. There must be a clear understanding of what can be taught and what should be taught. Hence, if evolution is the only theory supported and scientifically sound why is there massive debate over creationism vs. evolution? There are alternative theories, of which all should be taught and analyzed to further the knowledge society has on “Where did we come from?” Without a wide range of knowledge on either theory, there may never be an answer to that question.
