Creatine is known as the most popular source of supplements, and can be found in health stores and on certain sites of the Internet. This supplement is produced in physiologic amounts by the liver, kidneys, and pancreas, and is formed by combining the amino acids glycine, arginine, and methionine. During a survey, of the 1103 participants, 62 admitted to taking creatine. However, there is a lot that researchers still don’t know about it. For example, creatine is classified as a nutritional supplement, so it is ok for Olympic athletes to use, however it is not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. Why is this?
