Overfishing has been experienced globally and several endangered fishes are captured in the process. The fishes are also not given a chance to reproduce enough due to the overfishing by the fishing industry. Sharks are sometimes caught in the fishing nets. Due to the international law, sharks are not supposed to be consumed or sold in the market due to their conservation status. However, their fins are sometimes cut off in order to be sold in the market. The rest of the shark’s body, often alive, are dumped back into the ocean. Unable to swim properly, the shark will slowly sink to the bottom of the ocean and it will be prone to its predators.
