Money: Cowsmoo Milk Bar wants to try and minimize start-up cost, in doing so our communication expense must be kept at a minimal. One of the reasons we want to do this is because consumers might already be familiar with most ice cream and dairy products around the surrounding community. Furthermore, another reason we want to keep our cost low is because the products we are selling will be at low cost to our customers. We don’t want to waste money trying to grab the consumers’ attention on products they already know about. We are, however, willing to spend money on best communication strategies for our employees to enhance all areas of customer service. With consumer sales promotions we want to encourage customers to try our products, have frequent visits, and get new product awareness. We feel that having something like this will promote our products and company. However, this might be too expensive for our current start-up budget. One of the easiest advertising strategies is to send out information through email. When our customers sign up for any online promotions or deals we will have them include their email address. This will permit us to send out specific emails tailored to our consumers based on their purchasing history. This will allow for convenient access to coupons or rebates for all of our customers, which should make it easier for the consumer to save every time they come into the store. Last but certainly not least is we will have or ads posted on as many social networking sites as possible. In using applications such as Facebook we can easily advertise our products. Also, with the use of twitter we can have customers tweet photos and experiences while at Cowsmoo Milk Bar and in doing so our information would get spread out to local community members and they would receive a coupon in return for tweeting about our business. LinkedIn is also great way of getting other businesses involved, we could invite local companies or businesses to taste our products which could lead to new potential customers and new community
