Courtney's Short Story

Once upon a time, in a static (5) land called Lake Charles, there was a young college freshman named Courtney Liccardi. She had very transcendent (10) plans for such a small town girl. Courtney had just been accepted into Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard gave Courtney a magnanimous (2), full ride scholarship for a track. Track was her heart and soul, she then later met her whole heart, Bentley North. They were meant to be, he ran long distance, just like Courtney did. He asked her to be "his girl" on the first day of their eighth grade year. Courtney remembered his exact words,"Everyday with you feels like a heyday (1), will you be mine?". Her simple, yet affable (5) response was "of course".Many proms, formals, and …show more content…
Her door mate was her high school best friend, Hayden Banks. They were both beyond obstinate (4), which made them compatible. Courtney's schedule was a prime example of uniformity (5), get up to go running, then classes until 3, and practice until 6. Once and a while she would stop at a local coffee shop for breakfast. Months had passed and college had seemed to be the most authentic time of her life, she finally found herself. One day she was studying at the library and a shy English major had asked if the seat was taken. Court responded with, "it's all yours". She was glad to finally meet someone who did not strut (7) around with a egotistical attitude. Courtney got distracted and started looking around the room for inspiration. The last name sounded very retiring (10) and familiar, maybe she heard it at orientation, the thought had slipped her mind. He got up and left but he left his Patagonia fleece, this confirmed he was in a frat. She could tell by the Vineyard Vines shirt and Chubbies also. She thought to herself,"I bet he's in Beta Epsilon Gamma Gamma Alpha Rho Sigma or Alpha Tau Omega". Courtney picked it up and looked for a 'if found please call number', she eventually found one and called him as she left the library. The phone rang for awhile, Archie picked up and said" Hi, it's Archie Faust, may I ask who's speaking?" Court responded with" It's Courtney Liccardi, you left your fleece at the library and i just wanted to call you to let you know that I have it. Arhcie stated, with an effervescent (10) tone, "How about we go to dinner for 7 tomorrow at Sake Hibachi House so I can get my fleece back while taking a gorgeous girl out for dinner. Does that sound fine with you?". Courtney was shocked but very flattered and said, "Yes, I would be
