###What types of Court Records are there?
The two main categories frequently used for public case lookups are criminal court records and civil court records. Certain state judicial branches classify judicial records in several additional categories, such as family court cases, probate court cases and motor vehicle court records. Not all court files contain the same type of information. Civil or family court records usually include complaints, notice orders, affidavits, cross and third-party complaints, memoranda of decision, judgment files and issued executions.
By performing criminal or motor vehicle case searches, members of the public can get information about the arrest warrant, the uniform arrest report, the summons and the complaint, indictment information, written pleas, documents related to offender awareness programs, official receipts, notices of right and probation orders.
It is critical to remember that not all information is available for public court record lookups. Specific details can be provided only to law enforcement officers and legal officials under written
