With a higher divorce rate among remarriages with stepchildren, it is evident that children play a significant role in the remarriage process (Cox & Demmitt, p. 494, 2014). As a result, The Stepfamily Foundation has proved to be a treasured resource for parents seeking remarriage. The Stepfamily Foundation serves to assist parents and children of blended families with transitioning through a divorce or remarriage and educating them about co-parenting, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, child custody laws, and the strengths of being in a blended family (Stepfamily Foundation, 2015). What’s intriguing with this organization is that a couple is paired with another couple for a three month period in hopes to strengthen their relationship. The basic structure of Couples Coaching Couples includes the declaration process, weekly coaching calls, the completion process, and quarterly meetings. Next, couples engage in twelve weekly coaching calls where they spend half their time coaching and the other half being coached. During these sessions, couples discuss the actions they have taken and need to take to complete their vision statements. Once the couples have completed twelve coaching calls, they then participate in the completion process to review their progress and experience with the program. Finally, the quarterly meeting is when both couples discuss their experiences and complete their program with the other couple (Couples Coaching Couples,
