I chose The Count of Monte Cristo as my book to read for many reasons. I have always been extremely interested in the classics. Especially the classics written by the French authors. Authors like Victor Hugo, and Alexandre Dumas. Dumas’s The Three Musketeers was extremely interesting, so I decided to try his other book The Count of Monte Cristo. I got more interested in reading The Count of Monte Cristo when I found out that Monte Cristo translates to “Mountain of God”.
