Opportunity cost is when you have an opportunity to improve yourself, but you have costs that come with the opportunity. An example of this would be someone getting offered a better job that will require their family to move away from their home. The cost would be moving somewhere they do not know anyone. I am fortunate for the opportunity to be attending the online program Bethel University offers; however, it does have a non-monetary cost associated with it. While our schedules are more flexible by taking classes online, we do teach ourselves a lot of the work. If our schedules allowed us to attend class our assignments would be much easier. Although we do get some detailed and great feedback from our facilitator, it would help greatly if
