Corrie Ten Boom was the first licensed women watchmaker in Holland.
Before Holland was invaded, they remained neutral in the war. However, when Holland got bombed by Germany they surrendered quickly after.
After Holland was invaded, the citizen’s curfew was 10 pm, they had to turn in their radios, and they had to carry small folders containing photographs and fingerprints with them all the time.

Betsie became sick and her fever was over the required temperature to stay in a hospital bed so she went to the hospital.
Betsie had a vision where she and Corrie would have a large house to which people who had been damaged by concentration camps would come until they felt ready to live again in the normal world.
Betsie peacefully died soon after she entered the hospital.
Corrie was released and was given underthings, a woken skirt, a silk blouse, sturdy shoes, a hat, and an overcoat to return home in.
