In 800 BC plastic surgery first started as a reconstruction correction surgery. The word plastic in plastic surgery came from the Greek word plastikos which define to mold or to shape. The person who invented these techniques was a Roman scholar, Aulus Cornelius Celsus, who had recorded surgical techniques, including plastic surgery, in the first century AD. The first plastic surgery ever done was in 1977. That time it wasn’t a well known thing because very little people got it done. The first person to have plastic surgery performed on was a young sailor named Walter Yeo. The reason why he got a plastic surgery was because he lost his upper and lower eyelids while manning the guns aboard HMS Warspite
