This religion was originally created in Indian and is considered to be the third largest religion in the world. Hinduism religion does not have a single founder or date of origin, it is known as one of the oldest surviving world religions. The Hindu scriptures were initially passed on orally from generation to generation until finally ancient scholars wrote them down. Some of the Hindu scriptures are the shruti and smriitis. The Hindus worship many gods and goddesses; they believe in the one supreme power that manifests itself in various forms. The Hindus believe in peace. Hinduism consists of beliefs and traditions. Two of the most recognized beliefs of the Hinduism are reincarnation, which explain that when a person dies, only his body die, but his soul and spirit is reborn in another life and sometimes in another life form. Another important believe to them is Kama, which is considered a goal of carnal pleasure (Fisher, 2007, p. 77). The Hindus people have enormity respect for those believe. This religion is difficult to fully understand because most of the time non-Indians or someone who does not have fully knowledge about the religion misinterpret it. However, the role of the man and the woman have been changing over time Women were not traditionally encouraged to seek liberation through their own spiritual practices. A woman’s role is usually linked to that of her husband, who took the position of her god and teacher (Fisher 104). In Hindu’s religion females were considered to be less important in society than man. According with Fisher girls were considered a economic burden that female babies may be intentionally aborted or killed at birth, there were also cases were the woman was been beat or killed by the husband’s family when they were not agree to do what they were supposed to do. In addition, in the earliest time the woman after marriage was obligated to become the servant of the husband’s family (Fisher, 2007, p 104). When woman get marriage they needed to accept to be dominated by the man and worship him and his family. Women did not have not power over themselves.
