Everyone wants a career with meaning, action, diversity, satisfaction, and many of options, and to fulfill that desire and wish social work is one of the best options. Social workers are people who care about people, who want to improve living, who want to relieve suffering, who are willing to talk to people and understand their situation, who want their work to make a difference, provide therapy to help someone handle an immediate stress (The University at Albany's School of Social Welfare), and many other things that they can do which I cannot describe in a 3-6 pages. As universally defined, social work is a profession devoted to helping people function the best they can in their environment which can mean providing direct services or therapy
