Treaure hunting has been a big factor of Florida's history all thanks to Spain. The Dutch and English had the idea to stop the trading route to Spain to collect all of their treasure. Dropsondes are little parachute items that that transmit bursts of data about the storm that goes to the airplane to warn people. This data includes: the temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, and the speed and direction of the winds. It can also tell if the hurricane's strength is increasing or decreasing. This is helpful because it warns people about the storm as soon as possible. Some people may think this is dangerous for the pilot as well as the navigator.
