It was not faster nor easier to drive to school since there are a lot of other cars. The only benefit from driving to school from home is to not be exposed to the cold morning weather. Once I asked my friends that why do they drive to school so much when you can just walk, some of them replied that they do not know they just want to because why not, and the others replied that they got cars now so they do not have to walk anymore. I was shocked with their replies because I thought they just do not want to walk and because it was cold in the morning, but they did not even provide me with an actual answer, it has just occurred to them that they should drive to school because driving just seems better than walking. With the technology that…

However, many of them also involve one little missed detail: turning your head. In driver's education, everyone is taught to look twice, but not everyone does. When you are able to drive it saves time and effort for the both of you, and more can get done in less time. You would also have more fun if you can drive yourself around, because everyone's idea of fun is different, and being able to go where you want on your own means no one can tell you no and no one will be bored. While it is true that one out of nine teens will get in a wreck, this does not account for the fact that if you raise the driving age it will just be one out of nine young adults over eighteen. Raising the driving age will just raise the age of the people in the statistic. I believe this happens because it is about how much experience you have driving,…

While reviewing the literature regarding school zones and speeding issues that occur within school zones, there were several recurrent themes: speed, signage, and signals. Although there has been a gradual increase in research completed on school zone efficiency itself, there has been little to no empirical research completed concerning police personnel within the school zone due to the lack of data gathered from police agencies. It is without question, that when driving through a school zone, drivers need to abide by the mandatory speed limit set by the state, especially since the chance of an accident is at an all-time high due to the level of activity occurring within the zone. Research conducted in, Suggestions concerning school traffic devices, found that drivers tend to comply more with regulatory speeds compared to…

Most teenage drivers are involved in car crashes every year, and more are killed than in any other age group. Even to this day, 6,000 teens die in accidents annually—more than fifteen a day (Triplett 1). These alarming statistics prove that receiving a driver’s license at the age of sixteen is merely too young. Teenagers are incompetent about being on the road, which increases the chances of putting others at risk because they have not developed a strong level of maturity and experience. The driving age among teens should be increased because facts prove that teenagers cannot handle the physiological and physical challenges that approach them on the road.…

Although many people believe that a person should have their high school diploma before he or she gets their driver's license, but I disagree because you can be sixteen to get your driver’s license and some people are eighteen before they get there high school diploma. I don’t think that you should have a high school diploma before you get your driver’s because when kids turn sixteen they want to start doing things for themselves, and they don’t want their parents driving them around when the 20 because they didn’t get their high school diploma. When you turn sixteen you want to go to your friends parties, and it would be embarrassing if you show up with your parents coming to drop you off and leaving, then when the party was over it might be one in the morning on a Sunday morning then you would have to wait for your parents to show and drive you back home.…
