I am Dr. Connie Watson but you can call me Connie. I have a BA in Psychology from Western Michigan University, a Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology from Emporia State University, and a Doctoral Degree from Columbia University in Adult Education and Leadership. Besides teaching here at CCP, I teach a class at Temple University in the Urban Education department and I consult in the area of organizational development and leadership. I was born in Toronto, Canada but grew up in Michigan. My grandfather was born in a northern Greek town that was Macedonian and so he speaks Macedonian, Greek, and English. He immigrated to Canada when he was 13. So, I have Macedonian and Greek heritage and I am still a Canadian citizen. Also, I grew up Jewish but also celebrating some Christian holidays and I am very open to all religions. I have a husband and two kids (14 and 18) and I love to travel, camp and hike, play tennis, read and watch movies. …show more content…
Our psychology class will focus on psychology as a science and also how to apply psychology in your everyday life to help you grow, learn, be resilient, and succeed. I have learned a lot from all the students I have taught over the last 20 years. I have also been able to mentor many students and direct them to people and resources that helped them succeed.
